It is the mission of this website to assist in the development of learning environments that promote Career and Technical Education as well as academic excellence. To provide examples of effective 21st century teaching and learning strategies in order to assist in the development of more engaged and motivated classrooms. To provide multimedia Podcasts and articles to facilitate an understanding of how to implement technology and multimedia in classrooms regardless of content area. To encourage independent and personalized learning by teaching students to enjoy the process of learning. To assist teachers in becoming facilitators of learning.

Richard Byrne, an award-wining Google Certified teacher, created this resource, which provides a selection of free technology tools that can be used in any K-12 classroom. It is intended to assist teachers who are fairly new to the practice of integrating technology into their curriculum.

Flipped Learning Resources

Sophia.org is an enhanced social teaching and learning website that offers academic content free of charge. There are over 25,000 tutorials that are currently offered in the areas of English, Science, Math, Social Sciences and Fine Arts, just to name a few. It has been described as a mashup of Facebook, Wikipedia and YouTube, that is focused solely on education. Sophia.org has become especially popular with teachers who have flipped their classrooms, and have seen their students’ grades improve after using the content found on this website.

The American Youth Policy Forum hosted a special event upon the release of the report, which included an overview of the report, the reactions of a panel of education and business leaders, and special remarks from U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
